Privacy Policy for Cipherly

1. Introduction

Cipherly is a cryptogram and word puzzle game developed by Mustafa Raza. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app and contact us.

2. Information stored on your device

Cipherly stores puzzle progress, completed puzzles, gameplay statistics, streaks, achievements, preferences, and cached puzzle content locally on your device. These records support gameplay, saved progress, and personalization.

The current app does not upload your gameplay progress or statistics to a developer-operated server. Device operating-system backups may handle app data according to your device and backup settings.

3. Accounts, advertising, and permissions

The current version does not require registration or login and does not implement advertising, advertising identifiers, analytics tracking, or in-app purchases.

It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or GPS location.

4. Fonts and network connections

Cipherly uses the Google Fonts package, which may download font files over HTTPS when they are not already available on your device. These requests expose connection information, such as your IP address, to the font service.

Google handles information it receives under its own practices. Read the Google Privacy Policy for more information.

5. Optional puzzle content service

Cipherly's code supports downloading puzzle content through Supabase. The current release has no configured Supabase credentials, so this service is inactive. Cloud accounts and cloud progress synchronization are not currently active.

If backend connectivity is enabled in a future release, we will update this policy before publishing that release to describe its network requests, server logs, and information processing.

6. Support communications

If you email mustafarazaullah@gmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use this information to respond to your request and provide support. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Our support mailbox uses Gmail. Email messages and associated information are also processed by email providers under their own privacy practices, including the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Sharing

The app does not implement selling user data or sharing gameplay records for advertising. The font service receives connection information when fonts are downloaded, and email providers process support communications as described above. Those providers apply their own privacy practices.

Hosting and logs for this policy page

This public policy page is hosted on Vercel. Opening it involves sending connection and request information to Vercel to deliver the page. Vercel's hosting infrastructure records technical request information, such as the request path, response status, and request identifiers, and may process additional operational and security information.

The page does not add analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party scripts, remote fonts, or application cookies. The application does not maintain a separate visitor database or write routine visits to an application access log. Application errors may produce diagnostic events with a request identifier.

Hosting logs are managed separately by Vercel. Their retention and any configured log destinations depend on the hosting settings and provider practices; we do not specify a fixed retention period or promise deletion of provider-controlled logs. 8. Retention and deletion

Local gameplay records remain on your device until removed through the operating system's app-storage controls or other applicable device controls. Device backups are managed separately through operating-system settings.

You may contact mustafarazaullah@gmail.com regarding information you have provided directly to the developer, including requests about access or deletion. We will review requests concerning information within our control. Records controlled by font, hosting, or email providers are subject to those providers' practices and applicable request processes.

9. Children's privacy

No account or personal profile is required to play Cipherly. Parents or guardians with privacy concerns, including concerns about information sent through support communications, may contact the developer at mustafarazaullah@gmail.com.

10. Security

Local gameplay data uses the app's device storage. Font downloads use HTTPS, and this policy page is served over HTTPS. Your device's security and backup settings also affect how local app data is handled.

No method of storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app functionality or data practices change. The effective date and last updated date are displayed at the top of this page. Please review this page for the current policy.
